Since training at Jellicoe Theatre (part of Bournemouth and Poole College) Earl has played Commander Khashoggi in We Will Rock You (UK Tour); Peron in Evita (European tour); Javert in Les Misérables (25th Anniversary Tour and Queens Theatre, London); The Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera (Her Majesty’s Theatre); Don Alejandro in Zorro (Original UK Tour Cast); Ayckbourn’s Between the Lines (Palace Theatre); Daryl van Horne in Witches of Eastwick (Original London Cast and Prince of Wales); Joe Gillis in Sunset Boulevard (Original UK Tour Cast); Danilo in The Merry Widow (UK Tour); Archibald Craven in The Secret Garden (Scottish Première); Beast & Gaston in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (Original London Cast and UK Tour Cast); King Richard in Robin, Prince of Sherwood (UK Tour) and his first professional engagement as Simeon in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor© Dreamcoat (Thorndike Theatre). Earl can also be seen in the short film by Cannes Film Festival nominated Best Young Viral Director Marco Puig entitled, Yes: The Diaries of Jojo the Dog Faced Boy.
Earl is Conceptual Founder of the online media giant, Reelkandi.tv, now watched by some 50 million people a month worldwide and Creative Director for Ginger Boy Productions: currently responsible for the new concert phenomenon, Three Phantoms.
On the concert platform Earl has been involved with numerous projects both as a producer and performer. The most significant has been with Sir Cameron Mackintosh’s Les Misérables, from performing at the Euro ’96 Final at Wembley, Hylands Park, Windsor Castle, to playing the Bishop of Digne at The O2 Arena in 2010, celebrating the show’s 25th anniversary. He has also co-produced five Les Misérables in Concert events with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. He is a regular guest on Friday Night is Music Night for BBC Radio 2 and was involved in the 50 Musical Years concert, celebrating the Royal Shakespeare Company’s 50th anniversary at the newly opened, Royal Shakespeare Theatre. Most recently Earl had the honour of opening the 25th Anniversary Concert of The Phantom of the Opera, playing the Auctioneer at the Royal Albert Hall.
Earl Carpenter will be performing as The Phantom from 1 October 2012 onwards.
