Meet The People
Cast List / John Whitney
John Whitney is proud to return to the role of Piangi with the Phantom National Tour. Mr. Whitney most recently made his debut with the Fulton Opera House playing the role of Jacob Marley in A Christmas Carol. He also appeared at the Ogunquit Playhouse as Augustin Magaldi in Evita.
Favorite roles include: Old Deuteronomy in Cats , Booker T. Washington (u/s) in the National Tour of Ragtime and Sportin' Life (u/s) in the Houston Grand Opera's Porgy and Bess.
In New York, Mr. Whitney made his Carnegie Hall debut in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Requiem.
He made his debut in the West End in Show Boat directed by Harold Prince. While in London, Mr. Whitney also performed in Barbara Cook's master class at the Donmar Warehouse.
