Joanna Strand



Joanna enjoys a career as a jazz – cabaret artist alongside her West End Career. She regularly performs her own shows at The Pheasantry, Pizza Express Dean Street and The Crazy Coqs -Live at Zedels, as well as travelling to New York to appear at Feinsteins, 54 Below, Birdland and the Metropolitan Room.

Joanna originally trained as a dancer at Arts Educational School, before going on to study singing at postgraduate level at The Royal Academy of Music. Her studies were interrupted with the gift of motherhood, and so she actually only made her professional West End debut in her mid 30s, when she first performed in Phantom of the Opera -thanks to an open audition! Since then she has toured with Bath Theatre Royal, as well appearing at The Vaudeville Theatre in the Broadway transfer of Master Class and numerous other west end and national credits including Jekyll and Hyde, Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris.

She is delighted to return to Phantom after seven years away!
