New Christine Daaé for US TOUR

We welcome MARNI RAAB as ‘Christine Daaé’ to the U.S. national tour on Thursday, June 5. Now in Sacramento at the Community Center Theatre through June 14.

On Thursday, June 5, Marni Raab will take over the role of the beautiful, young soprano, Christine Daaé, in the U.S. National Tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera, the international award-winning musical directed by Harold Prince, now at the Community Center Theatre in Sacramento through June 14.

Also featured in the cast are Stephen Tewksbury as the Phantom, Greg Mills as Raoul, Vicomte de Chagny, Kim Stengel as Carlotta Giudicelli, D.C. Anderson as Monsieur André, Bruce Winant as Monsieur Firmin, Nancy Hess as Madame Giry, John Whitney as Ubaldo Piangi and Jessi Ehrlich as Meg. At certain performances, Kelly Jeanne Grant plays the role of Christine.

Marni Raab is delighted to return to the U. S. National Tour.

Broadway: The Phantom of the Opera.

International: The Phantom of the Opera World Tour (original cast, Christine) playing Shanghai, Seoul, Taipei and Hong Kong, CATS in Hamburg, Germany (Jellylorum), recital work at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria.

Off-Broadway/New York: Roberta (Musicals Tonight), Have a Heart (Musicals Tonight).

Regional:  My Fair Lady (Eliza), Carousel (Julie), A Little Night Music (Anne), The Fantasticks (Luisa). San Francisco’s “Red Hot Broadway” with Elaine Stritch, “Night of Stars” at Toronto’s Princess of Wales Theatre, “An Evening of Andrew Lloyd Webber” at Philadelphia’s Media Theatre.

Opera: appearances with The Connecticut Grand Opera, The Metropolitan Opera Guild, New England Lyric Operetta, Ohio Light Opera, and Boheme Opera. Marni holds a Bachelors degree from Oberlin Conservatory of Music.

Ms. Raab succeeds Sara Jean Ford in the role of Christine Daaé.
