Only a few days until the 12th May, when Norm and Sierra join the Broadway cast at the Majestic Theatre!
Tony Award nominated Lewis (for Porgy and Bess) is the taking on the lead role of the Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s long-running musical, and will be performing all eight performances each week.
Boggess reprises the role of Christine Daae once more on Monday to Saturday evenings the week commencing 12 May. She will also be performing on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings and Thursday matinee the following week of 19 May. The week commencing 9 June, Boggess will take to the stage on Tuesday to Saturday evenings and Saturday matinee.
Lewis has recently been part of the 25th anniversary concert of musical Les Misérables. He also performed in Sondheim on Sondheim, Side Show, The Wild Party, Dessa Rose and Miss Saigon.
Boggess saw success in the London world premiere of Phantom sequel, Love Never Dies, as well as in the original Las Vegas Phantom. She has also been on Broadway more recently in Master Class.
The Phantom of the Opera is produced by Cameron Mackintosh and The Really Useful Group, with music by Lloyd Webber and directed by Harold Prince. Lyrics are by Charles Hart (with additional lyrics by Richard Stilgoe).
