Ramin Karimloo, Sierra Boggess and Osamu Takai

On 19th January, stars of The Phantom of the Opera at The Royal Albert Hall Ramin Karimloo (The Phantom) and Sierra Boggess (Christine) performed the title song “The Phantom of The Opera” with Osamu Takai, who plays The Phantom in the current Japanese production of the show.

The performance, which marked the Japanese release of The Phantom of the Opera at The Royal Albert Hall on DVD and Blu-Ray, took place at the Shiki Theatre Company’s UMI Theatre in Tokyo, where The Phantom of the Opera is currently playing.

The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall will be released in Japanese stores next week. Click here for more information on the Japanese production of Phantom.

It seemed a little off compared to the performance/singing in both LOVE NEVER DIES and PHANTOM (Royal Albert Hall)….still cool

I had pvglireie of being at Royal Albert Hall Sunday afternoon thank you for such wonderful show. The staging was truly amazing even better than at Her Majesty’s theatre. How fantastic to hear all the Phantoms singing together and we even got to meet most of them. Ramin & Sierra are just phantastic’ and such humble people about their craft. I am so looking forward to the DVD and CD coming out can’t wait and keep playing the current CD all the time. Please may I desperately ask though that you release a DVD of Ramin’s performance of Love Never Dies, he just gives me goosebumps when he sings and after having been so many times to see the show would love a DVD to keep the memories alive!

The Phantom of the Opera at the royal albert hall was truly amazing!!! I really loved it!!!! Very similar to the original stage production, although some changes were not the best, I still prefer the Broadway and London original production better. The DVD is a great performance to remember!!!

Both VUE and Showcase cinemas will be scieenrng the 2nd October live broadcast in the UK, just check their associated web sites for where and how to book tickets. Thanks ALW and RUG for making this one of the best Christmas’s for me in I don’t know how long! If the Love Never Dies’ DVD/Blu-Ray gets a simultaneous release, that will be truly awesome! Finally, for POTO, how’s about including an isolated score of Andrew’s wonderful music coupled with David Cullen’s phantastic orchestrations for us phans as part of the DVD/Blu-Ray’s extras? If not the whole score, selected highlights? Huge thanks once again!
