“The Phantom of the Opera”, the longest running show on Broadway, once again made history on Saturday 26 January when it became the the first Broadway show ever to celebrate its twenty fifth anniversary.
Hundreds of the musical’s alumni were amongst the audience and following the performance Hal Prince, Cameron Mackintosh, and Sarah Brightman appeared on stage.
Andrew Lloyd Webber is currently recovering from an operation on his back and was unable to travel to New York for the celebration. Earlier this week at his London home, he recorded a very special message for the Majestic audience with Sarah Brightman. This was the first time since their marriage that they have been filmed together in interview.
