CHARITY FOOTBALL MATCH AND FAMILY FUN DAY
On Sunday 11th August 2013 the casts of the West End musicals “LES MISÉRABLES” and “THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA” will be swapping their costumes for sports kits when they go head-to-head in a charity football match at Bromley Football Club.
The musicals’ cast and crew members will don the red and black of “LES MISÉRABLES” or the blue and white of “THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA”, to play alongside celebrity friends of the shows.
The squads’ line-ups:
FOR LES MISÉRABLES: TOWIE’s Mario Falcone, Pop Star and ex-Cast Member Gareth Gates, McFly’s Danny Jones, ex-Southampton and Wales goalkeeper Paul Jones, Hollyoaks’ Danny Mac, and ex-West Bromwich Albion FC player ‘super’ Bob Taylor will join cast members Ethan Bradshaw, Dougie Carter, Lee Dillon-Stuart, Dayle Hodge, Tam Mutu, Jonny Purchase, Leo Roberts and Niall Sheehy, Stage Manager Ricky Green, Resident Director Chris Key, and Associate MD Steve Moss.
FOR THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA: Hollyoaks’ James Atherton, ex-Southampton FC player Francis Benali and his son Luke Benali and star of stage and screen Ralf Little will join cast members Dom Cobby, Peter Dukes, Michael Kerry, Tim Laurenti, Jeremy Secombe, Richard Shelmerdine, Simon Shorten and Simon Thomas, crew members Chris Barlow, Ben Brown, Ryan O’Gorman, Simon Prockter, ex-cast member Nadim Naaman and Resident Director Sam Hiller.
The match is a fundraiser for Great Ormond Street Hospital ‘Theatre for Theatres’, a charity campaign which is close to the hearts of many of the cast and crew and which provides invaluable support to so many children and their families. The teams are also playing as a mark of support for Melanie Oakley-Dow, Head of Wigs at “LES MISÉRABLES”, in her brave fight against cancer.
The “LES MISÉRABLES VS THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA” match at Bromley Football Club will kick off at 3pm on Sunday 11 August, with family fun day activities and entertainment for all ages from 1pm.
