Christine Daaé at certain performances
From Brasilia, Brazil, Sara is acclaimed by the media and critics, as the main Musical Theater actress of her generation in her home country. Sara played Christine in The Phantom of the Opera for 2 consecutives years (Sao Paolo 2005-7).
Her Brazilian credits also include: Theater: Cosette in Les Miserables, Fiona in Shrek, Jellylorum in Cats, Anita in West Side Story, Morticia (Alternate) in Addams Family, Glinda in The Wizard of Oz, Janet Van De Graaff in The Drowsy Chaperone (nominated for Best Actress in a Musical at Bibi Ferreira Awards) and recently Aldonza in Man of La Mancha.
TV/Film: Was part of the soap opera Dona Xepa (Rede Record), Stella in the awarded short film: “Five Minutes” and numerous TV ads.
Opera: Made her debut at the age of fifteen in The Magic Flute as Queen of the Night. Since then has been part of several productions and also concerts as a soloist. Recent credits include La Boheme (Musetta) and Carmen (Micaela).
Training: In Brazil, Acting for film at Fatima Toledo’s Studio and at the International Academy of Cinema. Music at “Escola de Música de Brasília”, University of Brasília, Opera training in Milan with Rita Patané and at IVAI Summer Opera Program in Tel Aviv. Voice privates with Marconi Araújo, Ronnie Knewblewsky and recently perfected her acting skills with Barbara Rubin and voice with Mary Setrakian in NYC.
Others: Sara is the Head of the Voice Department at The Musical Theater Conservatory at SESI-SP, Brazil. She is thrilled to be part once again of Phantom and thanks her family, loving friends and 3 adorable cats for their love and support.
